about

This is an intimate set of music recorded in February 2020 at Café Mustache, one of the first venues in Chicago to really give me a platform.

With this band, I called players who I felt sounded their best in lush settings. I wanted to be pushed to play more patiently and with more nuance. We only had one rehearsal as a group, but I wouldn’t change anything about the set. I trust each of these musicians deeply and we all delivered an emotionally in-tune performance in a comfortable homey setting.

I can’t wait to get this group back out there once regulations loosen.

If you purchase the digital download, you’ll also get the entire opening set which was an improvised ambient duet performed by me and guitarist Karl Maher.
