about

All proceeds support Cuerpos Justificados , which presents disability music and art events in Chicago.
We recorded this performance almost a year ago on WZRD 88.3fm, Northeastern Illinois University's community radio station. The band was supposed to be Trevor
Hill on woodwinds, Stephanie Alma on vocals, Lyn Rye on bass and myself on drums. Unfortunately, Lyn came down with some sort of sickness after having
just returned from a short tour, so I called Karl Maher the day of the show to fill in on guitar instead of bass.

Despite not having rehearsed or experimentded with this bass-less instrumentation before, we all showed up with an adventurous spirit (made easy by the
welcoming vibes of the station), tried out a few tunes at soundcheck, and proceeded on a wonderful sonic journey.

Everyone sounded so beautiful. Stephanie soared above us with her melodies and insightful lyrics. Karl made use of his famous guitar effects pedal board
to whip up spontaneous sound worlds that vurge on sounding like an orchestra during the epic moments. And Trevor brought depth and warmth on his saxophone,
flute and ocasional jamming on a metal water bottle, which I promise pops up at the perfect times.

Overall, it's a document of a cosy night where some friends got together to vibrate the air in harmony, and I hope you enjoy it. And I bet it will pair
great with your favorite packaged snack, no matter how picky or esoteric your tastes are.
